We recommend, in line with our servicing partner, that the British Standard 5306 part 8 2023, is applied with the introduction of dry powder extinguishers indoors.
Dry powders carry a fine powder which, when used, will stay airborne for a period of time before settling on all surfaces. This can cause both breathing and visual problems and can hinder exit in a fire situation.
The fine powder will find its way into electrical equipment and could cause irreparable damage to equipment such as computers.
