FireShield Fluoroketone (FK) Automatic Ceiling Mounted Fire Extinguisher Overview

One of the biggest fire safety challenges is protecting environments where there’s very little human traffic and a low chance of early fire detection. In server rooms or factories with large storage areas, putting out a fire after it starts can be very difficult.

The FireShield Ceiling Mounted Fluoroketone Automatic Fire Suppression System automatically detects the presence of fire and activates, spraying the dry powder at maximum force. This quickly and efficiently brings the fire under control before it has a chance to spread.

The fluoroketone (FK) extinguishing agent is extremely effective at fighting Class A, B, C, and Electrical fires. Fluoroketone breaks down relatively quickly, making it one of the cleanest firefighting options available. It is also completely safe on sensitive electronic equipment.

The FireShield Ceiling Mounted Fluoroketone Automatic Fire Suppression System is ideal for a range of environments and the ceiling mount allows it be installed in areas where normal fire extinguishers would struggle to reach. It is quick and easy to install, and the different cylinder sizes make it ideal for a range of coverage areas.

Q. Do your extinguishers come fully serviced and ready to use on delivery?

A. All our portable fire extinguishers are supplied ready for use, but those with larger capacities may need to be filled and charged prior to the first time they’re used. The product listing will explain this clearly.

Q. How often should fire extinguishers be serviced?

A. Fire extinguishers must be serviced every 12 months, this is known as the “basic service”. This service should be performed in accordance with British Standard BS5036-3 and conducted by a third-party, appropriately trained technician.

A. This depends entirely on what you are trying to extinguish, below are some examples of fires you could encounter.

Class A – Solid Combustibles (wood, paper, cloth etc.)
