What is the difference between an adaptive and an intuitive system? 

The mini automatic fire extinguisher has two available systems – the adaptive system and the intuitive system. Both are specially designed to adapt to the scale of the micro-environment and safeguard hard-to-reach areas.  

The systems design is differentiated by whether the extinguisher has a barrel or not – which will impact the placement of the mini fire extinguisher to the micro-environment. Either the extinguisher protects the area through inserting a barrel into the micro-environment or through placing the entire extinguisher inside.  

Adaptive system –Some micro-environments are completely inaccessible to humans. To protect such a space, the adaptive system should be used. This indirect suppression system is fitted outside of the micro-environment. The mini fire extinguisher is installed outside whilst the barrel is inserted into the area (allowing the rest of the suppression system to remain outside). The adaptive system allows the heat-sensitive bulb to be inside the micro-environment – but only the barrel is exposed to the potential ignition source. 

Intuitive system – the mini fire extinguisher is fitted inside the micro-environment for direct suppression. If the space is big enough, the mini extinguisher can be placed inside or attached to the inner wall of the micro-environment.

Hospitals

However, the large amount of electricity that powers treatment devices, scanning machine and patient testing can quickly become an electrical fire threat.
