The Fike 604-0008 TwinflexPro 8 Zone Fire Alarm Kit is a 2-wire intelligent panel is ideal for bed & breakfasts, apartments / flats, houses in multiple occupation (HMO), restaurant, retail stores, historical buildings, museums and office buildings.
The alarm kit uses a conventional type cabling format with a system classed as analogue non-addressable due to the architecture. The Twinflex data protocol enables the devices to communicate with the control panel. The Twinflex can recognise and individually identify between heat detector, smoke detector and a manual call point alarm.
The alarm kit monitors each zone for detector head removal, device error, end of line fault and open or short circuit fault. The two monitored outputs can be configured as conventional sounder circuits, a volt free comon fire relay and a volt free common fault relay. Two multifunction latching / non-latching inputs and one monitored input programmable with options such as class-change and remote fire.
The kit incorporates an integral power supply unit which requires 2 x 12V 3.3Ah batteries to provide up to 72-hour standby times. The panel has a 500 event log, day/ night mode, alarm confirmation and delay programming options that can be configured using the keypad or via PC driven OSP software.
The Twinflex system needs one 2-core screened cable for each zone to accomodate both detection devices and sounders when using Twinflex devices.
