MultiCHEM is a steel, multi-class foam fire extinguisher with an extra benefit… it can tackle Class F deep fat fryer and cooking oil fires too! This MultiCHEM fire extinguisher offers the highest level of performance, even in the hands of an untrained or incompetent person. This compact foam fire extinguisher weighs only 5.3kg and is sold with a full five-year warranty. The ‘MultiCHEM’ can be used to tackle Class A combustible solids, Class B flammable liquids and Class F deep fat fryer and cooking oil fires.
The MultiCHEM is manufactured and kitemarked to BS EN3. The EN3 standard for portable fire extinguishers was set by the European Committee for Standardisation. Compliance with the standard is legally required for the construction of all fire extinguishers in Europe. In Britain, this standard is certified by BSI, a private company that certifies products and services.
MultiCHEM fire extinguishers are extremely robust and will be resistant to bending, deforming and rusting in harsh conditions such as torrential rain or extreme cold weather.
Fire extinguishers approved by MED are permitted for use in heavy-duty marine environments such as container ships and oil platforms. All fire extinguishers with this approval have passed extensive testing to receive the prestigious "ships wheel" logo.

However, in addition to Class A fires, the AFFF foam fire extinguisher can be used on Class B flammable liquid fires. AFFF foam works by creating a thin layer between the flame and oxygen.

A. The foam in the fire extinguisher is Aqueous Film Forming Foam, commonly referred to as AFFF, and creates a layer over combustible liquids, smothering and quenching fires. AFFF works by suffocating or dousing the fire and sealing in any flammable vapours, preventing re-ignition. The foam will put out liquid fires by creating a thin barrier between the surface of the flammable fluid and the flame.

For example, we offer water or foam fire extinguishers for solid combustibles and carbon dioxide fire extinguishers for flammable liquid or electrical fires. Each extinguishing agent comes with its benefits. Typically, water extinguishers are cheaper, produce a cooling effect and prevent reignition once the fire has been extinguished.
