The Apollo XPA-CB-14016-APO Xpander combined sounder base and smoke detectors connect wirelessly to a fire alarm control panel via an Xpander radio interface, using the Apollo XP95 protocol.
Communication with the control panel occurs through Apollo’s addressable two-wire power and communication system. The detectors can signal normal, pre-alarm, fire, or fault conditions to the radio base, which then transmits the information to the interface. These detectors also feature drift compensation and will notify the system when compensation thresholds are reached.
Each radio base and signalling device is addressable and transmits pre-set analogue values through the XP95 or Discovery protocol. In addition to reporting normal and fire conditions, the bases can send specific analogue signals to indicate issues such as low battery, detector contamination, tampering, or weak signal strength.
