Overview Features Technical Data

The Envirograf Product 92 ES/VFR Fire Retardant Coating is used to provide fire protection to timber and wood-related surfaces as part of the Product 92 ES/VFR system. Suitable for internal and external applications, the coating is available in clear and white finishes and a choice of sizes, with a recommended spreading rate of 10m² per litre.

The ES/VFR system uses separate products to prepare, protect and finish the timber. Depending on the existing surface, an ES/VFR primer may be required before applying the fire retardant coating.A suitable top coat is then required to complete the system.

When applied as the specified system, ES/VFR has been tested to BS476 Parts 6 & 7, achieves EU SBI B-s1,d0 classification and provides up to 20 minutes' fire protection.

How the ES/VFR System Works

1. Prepare – ES/VFR Primer
For existing painted, varnished or waxed timber, apply the ES/VFR water-based primer before the fire retardant coating.

2. Protect – ES/VFR Fire Retardant Coating (Choose here)
Choose the required fire retardant coating for your timber:

Clear – for internal or external use. Available in 1ltr, 2.5ltr, 5ltr, 10ltr, and 20ltr.
White – for internal or external use. Available in 1ltr, 2.5ltr and 5ltr, 10ltr and 20ltr.

A suitable top coat is required over the ES/VFR coating.

3. Finish – Apply a Suitable Top Coat
Complete the system with the appropriate Envirograf top coat for the finish and application required.
