This fire safety bundle has been designed to aid in the extinguishing of small fires which could occur in cars, minibuses, taxis, caravans, small boats, small kitchens and domestic properties. Our Bundle 21 contains both a 1kg ABC dry powder fire extinguisher and a 1.0m x 1.0m hard case fire blanket.
Our FireShield 1kg ABC dry powder fire extinguisher is a type of fire extinguisher that is designed to tackle a variety of fires. These fires include Class A (combustible materials such as wood, paper and cloth), Class B (flammable liquids), and Class C (flammable gases). The ABC designation refers to the type/classification of fire it can extinguish.
The dry powder works by smothering the fire, breaking the chain reaction of the combustion process, and providing a barrier between the fuel and oxygen, causing asphyxiation. The 1kg ABC dry powder fire extinguisher is portable and easy to use. This makes our FireShield fire extinguisher a popular choice for home, office and vehicle use.
It is important to remember that ABC dry powder extinguishers can be messy and can leave a residue that may need to be cleaned up after use.
Secondly, this bundle comes with a 1.0m x 1.0m hard case fire blanket. This is designed to control and extinguish small fires. Our FireShield fire-resistant blanket is made from woven fibreglass that is housed in a hard, durable case.
The fire blanket can be used by removing it from its case and throwing the blanket onto a fire. The blanket cuts off the oxygen supply to the flames, effectively smothering them. We recommend this fire blanket for kitchen fires because it can be used to extinguish cooking oil fires, deep fat fires and chip pan fires, all of which are difficult to put out with other types of fire extinguishers.

A: Fire blankets are designed to be used on small fires, such as those involving cooking oils and fats, clothing, and electrical equipment. They are not intended to be used on large fires, such as structural fires, as they are not big enough to cover the entire fire.
A: To use a fire blanket:
Grab the blanket and remove it from its container.
Ensure that the blanket covers the entire fire.
Hold the blanket over the fire using the corners of the blanket, making sure to keep your arms and hands protected from the heat.
Slowly lower the blanket onto the fire, smothering the flames and cutting off the supply of oxygen.
Once the fire is out, leave the blanket in place and call the fire department.
It's important to note that fire blankets are not designed to be used on people who are on fire. In this situation, it's best to use a fire extinguisher or cover the person with a heavy, fire-resistant material, such as a rug or a coat, to smother the flames.
