Our new Evacuation Mat is designed to be compact and durable, offering high levels of wear resistance. The unit is constructed from a tough, hard-wearing fabric, with a foam pad for added comfort. The design principles remain consistent with all our evacuation products.
The webbing runs the full length of the mat, encapsulating both the head and foot-end pull straps in one continuous piece of strong webbing. This, along with two body straps for both tall and short patients, ensures secure positioning.
Once the patient is on the mat, the wings on either side can be folded over for added security, and then fastened with the webbing and buckles. The patient can then be pulled to safety using the head and foot pull straps. The slippy underside ensures easy movement across various surfaces such as carpet, vinyl, or concrete.
A risk assessment should be carried out before any training or emergency use. The unit has a Safe Working Load (SWL) of 150kg.
