The Paxton 682-531 Net2 Plus Single Door Controller combines a single-door access control unit with a 12VDC 2A power supply and plastic housing. It can connect directly to a TCP/IP network using a standard RJ45 connection, with a built-in TCP/IP converter for network communication.

The controller can operate as part of a network while continuing to make access decisions and store events independently. An RS485 connection also allows Net2 Plus and Net2 Classic control units to be networked using dedicated CAT5 cabling, while Net2 Plus, Net2 Classic and Net2 nano control units can be used together on the same site.

With capacity for up to 50,000 users or tokens, 250 access levels and more than 2,500 stored events, the controller also provides inputs for an exit button and door contact, alongside an alarm/bell output.
